The 2021 Lone Star Conference Track Meet did not disappoint this year! Being a local of Canyon/Amarillo area, I was undoubtedly rooting for the West Texas A&M Buffalos and Lady Buffs to sweep the meet.

What a change of scenery the Amarillo area has seen in the last week! Rain like we haven’t seen in years has flooded our very dry area, making the sky an awesome moving artwork in the evenings.
Amarillo High headed into the Region I-5A quarterfinal matchup against No. 2 Lubbock-Cooper knowing they needed to play their best baseball of the year. The Sandies did just that.
Catching the ball isn’t something new for me. Sure, it may look different with a camera body and giant lens in hand, but back in the day, I used to play catcher myself.

Shooting another farm & ranch project brought me back to the small town of Canadian, Texas this week. In searching for a place I could kill some time before the photoshoot started, I stumbled across Brown Bag Roasters. Located downtown in the Texas’ most northern cultural district, I was just floored by the cozy and authentic coffee shop.
Generosity in the Panhandle never ceases to amaze me! I have experienced kindness and generosity in many places around the world. However, the outreach of small town people extending their support to their neighbors is one of my favorite things to be a part of.

Who says you can’t enjoy a WTAMU football game in the spring? Although the air of a spring game is different than that in the fall, I can’t deny how fun it was to capture some awesome moments of the Buffs.
